MARCH BREAK LASER TAG TRAINING CAMP
The March Break Training Camp will be the first of our seasonal Training Camps designed to help players learn the game while developing foundational skills that can be used both on and off of the field. The Training camp is held at the Cougar Dome in Truro with x2 Two Hour sessions on March 12th & 15th and can hold up to 15 attendees.
With over 15 years experience in coaching we are excited to give an opportunity to help individuals in our local community grow all while having fun. Our camp focuses on core skills such as effective communication, teamwork, and leadership and works through practical scenarios to demonstrate these skills in action. Attendees will be provided constructive feedback as both individuals and a team to encourage a positive desire for growth.

The Camp is open to all ages and skill levels and DOES NOT REQUIRE PLAYERS TO BE BEGINNERS. All attendees will develop their skills regardless of skill level. Full details in registration ticket below.

This Training Camp is held IN ADDITION to the March Break Open Play sessions scheduled throughout the week and is a separate event.
THE SCHEDULE
TUES MARCH 12TH 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Day 1 - MOVEMENT, COMMUNICATION, AND FIELD SKILLS

4v4 Scrims
Attendees will be introduced to the Training Camp and a quick overview on the skills they will learn. A physical warm up will then be performed to get ready for the first phase of the day.
Players will be coached on how to properly hold their tagger, how to move on the field (including tips on how to improve physical wellness to improve form/technique), and how to train at using their opposite hand when holding the tagger.
Attendees will walk the field and learn and understand how various angle work in identifying key positions to hold and how to get there. This encourages analytical thinking and constructive problem solving solutions as players need to work together to move on the field. We will then cover what effective communication means, and how to utilize it as a team on the field to achieve a unified goal.
Attendees will practice playing against one another in 1v1 & 2v2 scenarios to practice moving and holding their tagger to demonstrate and practice the skills they learned.
Players will break into teams of 4 and play full matches against one another. At the end of each match the players who had just played will spend time with a coach to discuss the gameplay, how their communication was, and how to improve upon their teamwork.

Attendees will review the skills learned on Day 1 and cover the lessons for today. A physical warm up will then be performed to get ready for the first phase of the day.
Players will learn about the role of each player on the field and how to work as a coordinated group to achieve their goals on the field for various objective modes. Higher level communication details will be covered with a focus on how to adapt on the field as a group.
Attendees will analyze the various competitive game modes utilized by our system and breakdown gameplay strategies. This section will directly utilize the skills/roles learned in the previous lesson. Practical drills will be performed to execute and review strategies teams develop for various scenarios.
Utilizing all of the skills learned, teams will break into teams of 4 and play through objective based game modes in a friendly competition to see who can win the most matches to end the training camp. After each round the teams sitting off will discuss their match as a group for constructive feedback as a team and as individuals.
