HOW TO PLAY
ARCHERY TAG®
Welcome to the adrenaline pumping game of Archery Tag®!

We will teach you how the game works and more about the field that is used when playing. It is Dodgeball meets Paintball in a small sense. It is all about scoring the most amount of points as possible before the time expires. Best of all, when you're hit you're not out of the game.

THE RULES
HITTING AN OPPONENT
When you hit an opponent with an arrow fired from the action zone, you earn +1 point for your team. The arrow must hit an opponent direct on (ricochet shots sadly do not count)!
CATCHING AN ARROW
Catching an arrow mid-flight earns you +3 points to your teams score! Arrows must be caught out of the air, catching them after they hit you, a teammate, or a bunker do not count as a catch.
GAME TIME & VICTORY
Games run for 5 minutes to see who can score more points before the time expires.

Whichever team has the most points when time expires is the winner!
THE PLAYING FIELD
The playing field is a 60'x30' area with the field divided into three sections, two action zones and the neutral zone. Each team begins in their own action zone with a designated runners that go to collect arrows in the neutral zone at the start of the game (dodgeball DNA shown here) to bring back to their teammates.

Players may then fire arrows at opponents ONLY when in their own action zone. The Neutral Zone is a 18' space where players may not shoot at opponents who are within this zone. In the event a player is hit while in the neutral zone, no points are awarded. Players are NOT permitted to straddle the neutral zone line to run in if they are at risk being hit, this would result in a points penalty to the infracting team by the ref. Remember we are here to have fun and conduct with a respectful sportsmanship attitude.

HOW DOES SCORING WORK?
All games of Archery Tag® will be operated by a ref in the middle of the field. From here we will track hits and catches for teams and record them onto the scoreboard.

The cool thing with the system is we have a nice little tablet so it is easy to visually watch and score the games for players. The score will also be displayed on a large monitor for spectators and players in game to view!
